May 31 - June 5, 2009 Dauphin Island, Alabama

We had a short five-night trip to Dauphin Island, Alabama and it was a trip down memory lane since we both spent a fair amount of time there in our "youth". Although the island has changed, it's still the same happy place. There was lots of stormy weather all around us, but the only time it rained was at night. Made for some interesting clouds! The once popular fishing pier is now landlocked, and you can walk out to Sand Island. Amazing! Nothing we like better than beach-walking, bike-riding, and ferry boats!
