April 3, 2011 Brazos Bend State Park, Texas - day 1

Upon our arrival at Brazos Bend State Park, we immediately hopped on our bikes and went over to Elm Lake, where we saw some interesting creatures!

    White cheek patch on the bird in the middle photo would indicate it is a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.
