The Underwoods Ride Again!

After a long while of no camping, we are finally back on the move!

Because of the Great Flood of 2016, we lived in our camper for 11 months while the bottom half of our house was gutted and rebuilt.  Needless to say, we weren't interesting in spending much time in it during 2017!  But here we are, finally out & about, headed to Naples, Florida for a short visit with my brother Rus and his wife Anne, and their son Jon and wife Lauren and two kids Will and Lizzy.  They are down in Naples for a week and we decided it might be fun to spend some time with them "on vacation"!

The pictures in this first post were taken on our first day at Meaher State Park on the Battleship Parkway in the Mobile Bay (Alabama).  We have camped here several times and love it;  however, they have a chronic problem with ants getting into campers and vehicles.  Boric acid powder sprinkled around every contact with the ground was recommended, so that's what we did.  Each tire, each corner jack, the tongue jack - everything got a white powder circle.  Better safe than sorry!  Ants in a camper are simply dreadful.

Our home on wheels, the Flagstaff.

It was quite windy and the sunset was dramatic.

This camper was taking NO chances!
Reminds me of the chalk outlines seen at crime scenes... Ha!
