Heading west, we crossed the Cascade Range, up & over Washington Pass, on St. Hwy. 20, which is closed in winter. What a beautiful drive! There is an overlook at the pass, where we stopped and walked along a wonderful trail along the rim. And guess what: it was chilly up there! Brrr!

For a Louisianian, these cool temps (and snow!!) in summer must have been a little spot of heaven!
