The
Heceta Head Lighthouse is one of our favorites, because its lens is unique. It's a first-order
Fresnel lens, made in England. Pretty rare. The thing is HUGE, 12 feet tall and 6 feet wide. The whole area is breathtaking, and includes a wonderful view from on high. There is also the historic
Cape Creek Bridge built back in the early 1930's. While we were there the tide came in, and we watched ocean waves come into the creek.... What a fantastic place!
