July 21, 2018 Kennebunkport, ME

Since it was a Saturday, we debated about trying to find a place to eat out - July on the coast is very full of people.  But when we got to Kennebunkport, Bubba spotted a sign that always makes us happy - the blue and white "P" that says you can park here.  We pulled into the pay-lot and it looked full, but the nice man said "I see an empty spot out theah on the side street, and you can pahk theah for free;  I can let you out this gate right heah."  And so we got a prime spot for free.  Now that's a good man, right there.  (plus he probably knew that our big ol' truck wasn't going to fit in that little lot anyway)  We parked and walked one block to the center of town, where Hwy. 9 crosses the Kennebunk River.  The town was packed with summer people everywhere but the air was cool and the sun was warm......

When we arrived the tide was coming in and flowing pretty fast under this bridge.
Where we ate supper, overlooking the harbor.
Also the maker of Shipyard Ale.
I had the lobster flatbread.  Oh my.  Mmmmmm.

Bubba thought for a minute this hot rod was for him, but alas, not today.....
Looks like a tall ship;  but in fact it's a restaurant.
As we were leaving the tide was high and the river basin was full and still,
and Bubba loved this reflection......
......and I loved this reflection.
