Todays adventure was the Fundy Trail drive, which is an out-and-back road along the
Bay of Fundy. There were plenty of overlooks, and midway was the
Big Salmon River Interpretive Center.
In the late 1800s and well into the mid-1950s, Big Salmon River was a flourishing logging, fishing and shipbuilding community. Not much left now, though.
Our first stop was Fuller Falls, which were quite nice but not too big. The cable stairs were rather interesting, though.... Needless to say I was watching my step carefully going up and down!

| Great view of Pangburn Beach, accessible only at low tide. |
| All picnic lunches come with starving critters.... |
| The suspension bridge was sturdy and practical, not very scary at all. |
| The road bridge and the suspension walking bridge. |
| Big Salmon River; I love to sit and listen to the water making its way over the rocks. |
| At the end of the parkway was Long Beach. Wonderful at low tide!!! |
| Long Beach. |

You betcha! I waded the beach from one end to the other, enjoying every minute. The water wasn't very cold in the shallows, but it got cold fast if I went past ankle-deep. |
Cable stairs, huh? Guess we missed this one. Nice pics!
