We originally planned 3-4 days in Bar Harbor, since the weather to the north was terrible. Alas, the weather turned cold and wet where we were, too! So we decided if we had to endure a week of rain, might as well be in one of our favorite places - Mt. Desert Isle, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park. Here are some random pictures of what we did and saw - besides hunkering down inside our cozy camper while it stormed outside....

| Seal Harbor. Do you see Bubba? He's in navy blue. |
| Seal Harbor. The wild beach roses are so beautiful, and they are everywhere! |

| When in Maine - what the heck, why not..... |

This is the motel we stayed at on our honeymoon 40 years ago. Amazed that it's still there and looks just the same |
| Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park. Big tourist attraction. |
| Bubba on the rocks next to Thunder Hole. |
Thunder Hole. When the waves are coming in, the water rushes up into a small cavity at the end and it makes a booming noise. Today it was more of a burp, though.... |
| Spectators next to Thunder Hole. |
The two Bubbles, which we climbed in the past. Wanted to do it again, but alas, not in the wet rainy weather. Seemed like an invitation for a slip and fall...... |
When in Maine, eat lobsters! OK, will do! 40 years, huh? And they said it wouldn't last. (kidding)
