July 25, 2016 Boothbay Harbor, Maine

After we got back from visiting Popham Beach, we drove in to Boothbay Harbor.  It's mostly a tourist town but still interesting.  Here are some random pictures for you.

Low tide.....
The Bridgehouse.  It's reached either by boat or by The Footbridge.

This picture shows the striking color of the lovely red maple tree.

June 21 Gray Homestead campground, Maine

This afternoon we hung out around the campground, including the beach/shore. For supper we had lovely boiled lobsters we got for $6 per pound from the campground owner, who just happens to trap lobsters! YUM!

The Underwoods! Our camper, perched on the hill. The Wilkinsons & Nykvists.

The squirrels here are TINY! Schooners in the harbor. Anne guards against too much sun.

The pier at the campground. Underwoods enjoying the weather!

On the waterfront at the campground. Fresh lobsters! Yum!

June 21 Boothbay Harbor

This morning we all went to Boothbay Harbor and walked around. I was dismayed at how hot it was inland - not much breeze. The town is interesting to walk in, and we crossed the harbor to the other side for lunch, where we spotted the old church.

The harbor. The old catholic church.

Fisherman's memorial across from the church. View of the harbor. Lunch at the Lobster Dock.

Interesting statues of all sorts! Beautiful flowers.
