After we left Tilton-Northfield area, we drove up to Plymouth to our third errand of the day, and while there we saw a sign to "see the
Polar Caves"..... So we did! These are not really caves, they are more like passageways among a HUMONGOUS pile of boulders that were deposited by glaciers. Some of these 9 named caves were a pretty tight squeeze.... I am amazed at the stairways and wooden steps and railings that were installed to make these places accessible - LOTS of work! We had a good time, and I was most appreciative of the cooler temps inside the caves.
