July 19, 2014 Point Wolfe River hike, Fundy National Park, New Brunswick.

Our second hike of the day was down to the Bay of Fundy where the Point Wolfe river joins the bay.  This was a wonderful spot to explore!  However, the trail down was awful.  The main trail had a big washout (thank you, Hurricane Arthur!) so we were on a "detour trail" which was more stream and mud than trail.  We both got dirty-dirty feet from that one!  The river delta was spectacular;  these pictures just cannot do it justice.  The bridge that crosses the river just happens to be another covered bridge, which is visible in one of these pictures.  We do love to clamber around on rocks!

If you enlarge this picture, you will see people on the side of the river,

This little cove was once a thriving timber business.

The covered bridge is in the far distance.

  1. I have déjà vu all over again - we took some of the same photos seven years ago! What a wonderful trip. I know you agree! Thanx for the pics!
