July 2, 2014 Wytheville, Virginia

We are once again on our Summer Trip;  left home on June 30 and have been driving ever since, seeking escape from the Summer Heat!  We under-estimated yesterday's drive and ended up going 445 miles - 9 hours of driving... whew!  Tonight we are finally in the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2000+ elevation and STILL it is 85 out there at 7 p.m.  We have been lucky all three nights and haven't had to unhitch, which is a hassle for just an overnight.

Our ultimate destination is Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, Canada.  If they end up having a heat wave while we are there with temps over 80, I will be most unhappy.... !

Tomorrow we will settle in Winchester, Virginia for 4 nights for the July 4 holiday weekend.  I have a cousin who lives near Winchester  and we are both looking forward to a little visit.  I am sorry we don't have any pictures for you yet, but stay tuned!
