August 17, 2013 Ruby Beach, Washington

Ruby Beach is, well, just beautiful!  Sand, rock, cliffs, sea stacks, tide pools, cairns, people, kids, dogs, and LOW tide.  Doesn't get much better than this, in my book!

Can you see Bubba standing by the cliff?  (hint:  pale green shirt)

Anemones, starfish.

Can you spot Bubba in this one?  (hint:  pale green shirt)

The crabs had molted and the beach was covered with their shells.

Sea stack, cliffs, and a few spots of low cloud/fog.

The Bumps-On-Logs, enjoying smoked salmon on crackers for lunch!

Beautiful.

Beachcomber getting ready for some wading in the Pacific!

And there she is, having a wonderful time!

Bubba showing high water mark on the side of a sea stack.

Sea stacks.

Anemones.

Lighthouse on the island offshore.

Somewhere along the line, this driftlog became the cairn log!

Starfish.

  1. Did you see any birds? Puffins or murres? (Love these beaches!)
