August 1, 2013 Moraine Lake

Today was our last day to "play" in the high Canadian Rockies, and we spent the day at two lakes:  Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.  They are a 10-mile drive apart, up around 6000-7000 ft.  These are pictures of Moraine Lake.

The name Moraine Lake held true to its name:  we had some "more rain" while we were there.  We opted for a short walk to the Rock Pile for some of these shots, and then we took shelter at the Lodge Cafe patio.  The color of the water is not enhanced, it really a deep aqua!  Wish we could have done the hike up to Consolation Lakes, but weather changes plans....
