The
King Neptune Campground was such a wonderful campground, I will share some of it with you. It faced west, so we saw some spectacular sunsets. There were seagulls on the nearby rocky island, but they didn't come into the campground. (big plus) The skies were gorgeous, we experienced some fog, some sun, pleasant temps, and in general it was a little piece of paradise. Plus there was a lobster pound within walking distance. A lobster pound is a place where live lobsters are "stored" awaiting human consumption. At a lobster pound, you can either get 'em alive or you can get 'em cooked. Either way, you take them home, since a lobster pound is usually NOT a restaurant. Actually, this place had picnic tables outside, so technically it was also a restaurant.
This campground is a place I would happily revisit!

| That's our tan camper in the middle. Nice view out the big back window. |

The proprietor of the Lobster Pound kindly showed us the difference between a 1-pounder and an 8-pounder. Wow! |

| These are two 1.5-pounders we ordered cooked and walked home with. Oh boy. |
Oh yeah, a place we four could easily visit each summer! :-) Beautiful skies.
