July 30, 2016 Prospect, and Terrence Bay, Nova Scotia

Today we drove around the point and hiked around at Prospect, then drove further to Terrence Bay where we visited the SS Atlantic Heritage Park.

The village of Prospect was another of those wonderful granite coastal areas that are so dramatic and fun to clamber around on.  And THIS time we were the only ones out there!  No hordes of gawkers, no screaming kids, no people taking pictures - well, just us.  We took pictures.....  And we soaked up the peace.

We motored a little further down the road to Terrence Bay, where we rambled around in the little town and found our way to the SS Atlantic Heritage Park.  (read more about it here)  Over 500 people died in this particular shipwreck, and the community has created a small heritage park in their honor.

We joined a friendly retired nun who was sitting here, and had a most pleasant conversation with her.

Fireweed is EVERYwhere and it is so beautiful.
Love the bright colors!
