Again: this two-dimensional medium does not come close to conveying the majesty of these giants. But we tried.
















The fallen giants tell quite a tale of their sheer size when they were upright.....
















1. One more shot of a fallen giant, who has been down so long it's got forest floor growing on top of it...and still HUGE. 2. This tree is the biggest one we we've seen so far.....





















1. The same tree I was in front of in the above photo...only looking up. 2. We saw lots of trees like this, with one massive base trunk and multiple trees growing up from it.




















1. A burned shell of a tree. 2. Look closely at the second photo and you will see the secondary tree growing from the side of the tree on the right. This is common in redwoods.
