July 30, 2012 Traveling....

Traveling from Glacier National Park in Montana, we were in four states in the same day. Once we got away from the northern rockies, and thru Spokane, we found ourselves on the Columbia Plateau, where they grow LOTS of crops. Those crop circles you hear about? This is where they are! We went thru various little towns, and here are a couple pictures from them.

The little town of Libby, Montana is the City of Eagles.

The tiny town of Lind is in the middle of the Columbia Plateau and surrounded by wheat fields. They have a nice town square with a fine metal sculpture, and they are "famous" for their combine demolition derby! Imagine those gigantic combine machines crashing into each other.....
