August 26, 2012 Sheltered Cove, California

On our last visit to the Pacific Ocean, we went to Sheltered Cove by way of a twisty-turny drive over the King Range mountains. What a beautiful place it is! There were sea lions, harbor seals, and tide pools. Life Is Good!

A madrone tree, with it's red and green bark. A little crab in a tide pool.

Hey, look what I found! A starfish!

A group of harbor seals, basking in the sun; position is everything in life.....

Tide was coming in, so the seals were easing into the water to hang out in the kelp.

The sea lions were lounging in the sun, too, along with the cormorants.
