During our travels around
Miramichi, we could see this beautiful church rising above the rest of the town. It's
St. Michael's Basilica, and we hiked up the hill to it and went inside. Just beautiful, with the sun streaming in thru the stained glass. Built in the early 1900's, it's on the site of two prior St. Michael's churches, the first built in 1839. Fires destroyed them both as they were wooden structures. Beautiful church. We have a sign like that at our local grocery store ... which makes me grin when I see it and it's 98F outside!
