August 6, 2018 Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada

We are now in Shediac, New Brunswick for four days.  It's a lovely campground.  The town is a typical summer-shore-tourist place on the Northumberland Strait, near the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

First thing we find in our campsite (nicely separated from other sites with a narrow strip of forest growth) is blueberries!  Yay!  These little low-bush berries grow almost everywhere up here.  You just have to look for them down near the ground.  Of course I picked a nice mess!  And tho they are small, they are sooooo sweet!

So very good on our cereal.....

The town of Shediac is known locally as the Lobster Capital, which will explain the following pictures.....

After the obligatory visit to the Giant Lobster, we drove up to Pointe-du-Chene for lunch on the deck at Captain Dans.  The weather was hot and humid (*sigh*) but the view was grand and the food was great.

On Main Street there is a one-lane bridge and every driver is considerate of the folks waiting on the other side.  Without being told, each side gives the other side a chance.  Nice!

Another place we had lunch:  this picture doesn't show it well, but the parking lot was full.  And we all know what that means:  good food!  And yes, it was good.  While we were here eating (inside because it was still too hot outside), a storm was coming in.  Yikes!

Poutine (fries, gravy, and cheese curd, a local favorite up here in Canada)
and fried clams.
Lobster BLT.
Taken while we were driving back to our camper as fast as we could go.....
