August 16, 2018 Campbellton, New Brunswick

After Caraquet, we ambled up the New Brunswick coast a bit further to Campbellton.  It's on the Restigouche River, with Quebec on the opposite bank.  The main feature here is Sugarloaf Mountain, which rises straight up over the town.  Our campground was perfectly situated and beautiful.  Here are some pics:

Restigouche Sam

This boat was just sitting here along the riverfront with no signage to explain it.
We think it might have been some kind of ferry boat, since it had a large cargo hold below
and room for passengers on top.  But who knows?
Interesting statue along the riverfront.
Bubba says:  No No No, this is MY fish!
Bridge over the Restigouche to Quebec.
Another great weathervane......
All over New Brunswick, we saw crosswalks in rainbow colors - love it!
We had supper one night at a nearby restaurant - shared the seafood platter.
It came with an appetizer of escargot.  We ate 'em, too.
I liked 'em, but Bubba mostly didn't......
We were at the Blue Heron Campground - this guy was out front.
There are lots of seasonal campers here and most of them have golf carts.
Here is a teeny covered bridge for the carts.
I went for a walk one afternoon on something called the NB-1 trail.
These little guys were so friendly and wanted to see if I had any birdseed.
Saw these lovely flowers everywhere, I guess they are a "weed".
But a beautiful weed.
One night at sunset we walked down to the water........
......and took some lovely pictures of El Sol going down.
